Welcome to our website. The festival is now in its 17th year and is a popular and welcoming event. Our aim is to give everyone a positive experience and we hope you will decide to enter and that you find all the necessary information here.
As we plan the Festival we are constantly wondering what the opening of the entries will bring us. Last year we were discovered by a couple of enthusiastic teachers of Harp and Guitar so we are pleased to welcome the Harps into the Strings classes and we have created separate Guitar classes. The Woodwind, Brass and Strings entries were up at the last festival compared with previous numbers and we hope that this trend will continue.
Singers and bands from the primary schools are a big part of the Festival and we love to have them, but we have been rather anxious about the continuing availability of our usual venue. We are absolutely delighted that we are still able to use the excellent facilities at Woodhey High School.
If you are a regular entrant you may notice some small changes to the entry form. These changes are designed to make our administration easier so we hope they don’t cause you any problems.
We look forward to welcoming you in March whether it will be your first time at the festival or you have been before, and to listening to your wonderful performances.
